About
Inland Hospital
Inland Hospital is located in Waterville, Maine, just one hour from Bangor and Portland, and 3 hours from Boston. The ocean is under an hour away, lakes and mountains abound nearby, and our four-season weather allows for endless outdoor activities; from snowmobiling, skiing, boating, hiking, golfing, hunting, fishing and much more. There's no need to travel for educational opportunities and culture - Waterville is home to two colleges, Colby and Thomas, and a thriving Opera House. Excellent public and private schools are available and the Alfond Youth Center provides outstanding activities for children.
Inland is a 48-bed, primary, acute care hospital with a mission to care for and serve the people of our community. Our centers of excellence include:
Inland Birthing Center, where every delivery is special and new moms get a massage.
Inland RehabWorks: physical, occupational and speech therapists who deliver the three 'R's' to our patients - responsiveness, relief and recovery.
Inland HomeCare: compassionate home health services.
Inland Imaging Services: highly skilled professionals working with the latest in radiologic technology, including PACS - Picture Archiving and Communication Systems.
Emergency Department: where the finest doctors and nurses provide the finest care.
Other services include: Inpatient, Pharmacy, Day Surgery, Laboratory, and Outpatient.
Please visit our web site for a full listing of Inland's services. www.inlandhospital.org
Under the Inland umbrella is: Lakewood Continuing Care Center, a 76-bed skilled nursing care facility; and New Horizons Health Care, five physician practices.
Inland Hospital is a member of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems (EMHS). In this regional relationship with EMHS, Inland is the hospital model of the future: a primary care facility tightly integrated with an advanced medical center - Eastern Maine Medical Center, our sister hospital in Bangor. This relationship gives us access to a sophisticated center of clinical excellence. These shared services and linkages to clinical expertise would not otherwise be available in a small city. The Inland/EMHS relationship also provides links to excellent career opportunities within a larger health care system.
Inland's motto is Where You Come First and it applies to patients and employees alike. The culture of caring here has earned Inland Hospital top ratings in employee and patient satisfaction surveys. We're a rural hospital of 400 employees that offers excellent salaries and benefits, because we value experience, a caring spirit and a positive attitude. It's described as a hospitality feel at Inland; whether it's a housekeeper, a nurse, or a radiologic technician, we have time for our patients and each other. We have found that people who already have a strong customer service philosophy fit well into our organization. On top of a professional and challenging work environment, Inland employees like to have fun and this means regular activities that build team work and esprit de corps.
