About
Providence Service Corporation of Maine
The mission of Providence Service Corporation of Maine (PSC) is to collaborate with and support community agencies in their efforts to reduce out-of-home placement, strengthen families and provide youth opportunities to develop skills, enabling them to become productive, contributing member of their communities. PSC is dedicated to offering innovative and effective community services to assist in the support and preservation of families.
Human Services Without Walls simply means that we provide our services in the client's own environment. We do not own or operate a hospital or residential facility. We serve our clients in their own home, neighborhood and community.
To address the needs of individuals, families and communities, we have tailored our services by locality. PSC staff are recruited and employed locally and participate in collaborative efforts with community organizations in the interest of advancing the goals of family support and preservation. In the State of Maine, PSC currently operates out of five regional offices; Augusta, Brunswick, Lewiston, Portland and Saco and is in the process of expanding to Bangor and Ellsworth.
