Employment 1 fills a void that is untapped in the market place as an affordable service compared to traditional employment agencies that charge 10-30% of first years earnings and if the position is lost the client is still obligated to pay the fee. Traditional agencies deal mainly with white-collar professionals making $30K and above. Temporary services do not offer long term stability, benefits or growth in a company. With so many people looking through the newspaper ‘Help Wanted’ section the competition is fierce. Although these options can be good for many job seekers they are not feasible or affordable for others.
The advertising clearly demonstrates our commitment to fair advertising and allows the perspective client the opportunity to know right away what our agency has to offer. Employment 1 places the actual job title in the paper, the corresponding job number, our company name, and the amount of the fee. In addition, all advertisements are taped recorded verified with the employers before running in the paper. All advertised positions are verified daily with the employer to ensure availability. If a position is filled, it is pulled from our files and the newspaper immediately. Furthermore, all newly acquired positions are to be tape-recorded verified, to ensure all information pertaining to the position is correct.
Employment 1 is an employment agency providing its clients with immediate information on up to 400 positions in the Portland and Bangor markets. We handle Portland, Bangor and surrounding area positions only and do not handle jobs overseas or outside a 60-70 mile radius of these cities. All positions handled by Employment 1 are bona-fide job orders, primarily full time, and all are permanent.
Employment 1 provides clients with interviewing and resume tips. If a client needs more assistance with writing and/or preparing a resume, they only need to ask. Many clients apply for jobs and then wonder the status. We can contact employers to inquire if a particular resume was received, if the position is filled, or simply to obtain additional information about pay, requirements, or benefits. We actively search for specific fields that our clients desire.
